Annual Prize Distribution Function – DHA Montessori-II

Karachi: The annual function of Defence Authority Montessori-II was held in the auditorium of Defence Authority College for Men here today.
The young students on the occasion presented a fascinating programme comprising nursery rhymes, songs and tableaus. The presentation of ‘Punctuations’ and ‘Rights and Responsibilities’ by tiny toddlers conveying meaningful messages was truly a commendable performance. The chief guest Director Education DHA, Brig (R) Iftikhar Arshad Khan said that observations and experiences of children in their formative years were very significant in development of their personalities and outlook towards life. He asked the teachers to handle the young children with utmost care, affection and tenderness.
He said that provision of intellectually nourishing and physically strengthening environment to children in their early years helps in developing their talent and confidence. He added that the time, money and effort spent in training and education of young generation was the best investment for our bright future.
Earlier the Principal Mrs Ayesha Wasty in her address said that children in Montessori were exposed to a colourful and healthy environment intricately designed to meet their emotional and psychological needs.
She added that at Montessori a child enjoys freedom of moment and is free to choose the activity of his choice but at the same time he learns the basic principle of “a place for everything and everything in its place”.
The chief guest at the end gave away prizes to the kids who excelled in various activities during the year. A large number of parents attended the function. He also announced a donation of Rs. 30,000/- for the School.
