KARACHI – The upcoming residential-cum-commercial project of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on the Karachi-Hyderabad Superhighway – the DHA City Karachi (DCK) – is all set to graduate from the planning stage into development on ground stage after completion of its master plan.

Tenders for major development works under the immediate development plan have mostly been awarded, while the mobilisation of contractors to the project site has started and the construction and development process of the project is ready to take off.

Karachi: A leading international energy sector firm is likely to acquire management control of the long stalled Defence Cogen Power and Desalination Plant from its current private owners and arrange for funds to ensure its early rehabilitation.

A meeting of Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA) Executive Board was informed that technical reports related to the recently completed root cause analysis and third-party evaluation of the Cogen Desalination plant did not indicate any structural discrepancy or fault in its design.

“I have given orders to my officials to make the land available. I can’t say anything about its location at the moment,” said Brigadier Aamer Raza, the DHA Administrator.
