KARACHI: The unprecedented monsoon downpour, which started on Saturday brought havoc to the city’s civic infrastructure and caused inundation of large areas. However, a DHA press release issued on Monday said that the DHA and CBC responded to the challenge with remarkable agility and brought the situation to normal within 24 hours of the rains. DHA Administrator Brig Khalid Tirmizi and CEO CBC Zeenat Ahmad undertook tour of nook and corner of DHA on Sunday night to see the effects of rain and pace of ongoing dewatering and relief operation. The accumulated rainwater had receded and 95 percent of DHA and CBC areas are largely clear.
