Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Islamabad

History

HISTORY Since its inception DHA Islamabad has endeavoured to achieve, under the guidance of its Chief, President General Pervez Musharraf, the goal of providing a platform for welfare and rehabilitation of defence services personnel and dependents of the Nation’s martyrs while providing a high standard abode to the dwellers of the twin cities of Rawalpindi Islamabad. To exploit the inherent potential for the expansion of DHA Islamabad and to make its functioning smoother, rapid and at par with DHA Islamabad Karachi and Lahore, necessity was felt to convert it into Authority through legislation. Defence Houing Islamabad was thus converted to Defence Housing Authority Islamabad on 22 nd Feb, 2005.

Vision

DHA Islamabad have a vision of changing the face of living concepts in Pakistan through a holistic yet progressive concept of “DHA Community System” by extending a total experience in living, housing and different levels and options for investments and commercial activities under a controlled and dependable environment.

Defence Housing Authority Islamabad is playing multi dimensional role for the welfare of serving/retired officers and families of Shuhada in addition to the allotment of a reasonable % age of plots to almost all categories of society. The credit for implementation of COAS welfare package goes to Defence Housing Authority Islamabad. The contributions of Defence Housing Authority Islamabad towards Nation building will be remembered as it has managed to attract the world reputed investors from Middle East and Europe .

The induction of multinational companies in Defence Housing Authority Islamabad has given a modern and new dimension to its development standards beside satisfaction and confidence to the members. These steps have enhanced/multiplied the value of plots thus benefiting the members as well as investors. The futuristic planning of Defence Housing Authority Islamabad has enabled us to expand the scope of beneficiaries to accommodate the deserving Junior Commissioned Officer’s/Non Commissioned Officer’s of Pakistan Army.
