ISLAMABAD: The government is making efforts to construct a railway track up to Gwadar by 2007 which would enhance the port’s performance, said Railways Minister Ghaus Bux Mehar on Sunday. “The feasibility study is being completed to connect the under-construction Gwadar port with the main rail network,” said Mr Mehar. He said that the Pakistan Railways had started ten new passenger trains and many freight trains. He said that new rail-traffic system was being imported so that trains could run smoothly in fog. He said that the computerised ticketing system had been introduced to curtail the sale of tickets in black.
