ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Saturday approved four development projects worth Rs 1.921 billion.
The approval was granted in the meeting of Development Working Party of the authority. Kamran Lashari, the CDA chairman, chaired the meeting. According to a CDA official, all members of the CDA board, representatives of finance division, planning commission and other high officials of the CDA attended the meeting.
He said the meeting sanctioned Rs 57.2567 million for the infrastructure design, development and supervision of sector I-15. The sector was launched in 2005 but no development work had been started so far.
The meeting also approved Rs 1071.695 million for the provision of external infrastructure facilities to International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) campus at sector H-10, he said.
The official said except an area of 2.53 acres allotted to T&T Department, the CDA had allocated entire H-10 sector covering an area of 704 acres to the IIUI. Under the project, the CDA would develop external infrastructure facilities and the university administration would develop internal infrastructure. The external infrastructure development included construction of roads, development of drainage system, water supply, external electrification including streetlights, landscaping and sanitation, he said. staff report
