KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday directed the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) administrator, Clifton Cantonment Board (CBC) CEO and NESPAK authorities to file counter-affidavits till April 9 on an application seeking contempt proceedings against them in the Gizri flyover case.
Residents of Khayaban-e-Hafiz, DHA, had filed a contempt application against the respondents for constructing the Gizri flyover against the revised plan.
The SHC division bench comprising Justice Maqbool Baqir and Justice Abdul Rehman Farooq Pirzada turned down request to stay constructions and directed respondents to file counter affidavits till April 9.
Employees Benevolent Fund: The SHC on Friday directed the Benevolent Fund Department secretary to submit policy guidelines of the fund till April 15.
Petitioners, Abdul Shakoor and Mohammad Shamim, primary school teachers of the education department, had moved the SHC against non-release of amount from benevolent fund despite approval since 2005. ppi
