Workers of the Lahore Development Authority went on a hunger strike after a delay in the allotment of the plots. They said that if their demands are not met they will resort to a pen down strike and threatened to lock the offices
Hundreds of workers left work and came to the hunger strike camp set up by the LDA workers in Johar town. The protesters chanted slogans against the government and the administration and the camp.
President of the LDA employees union, Naeem Ali Khan said that if their demands are not met they the protest will intensify. We will have to lock down the offices and will continue to protest until the demands are met.
He added that on orders of the Supreme Court, LDA should provide the employees with the allotted plots according to the quota.
