Karachi: Nazim inspects work on Corridor-III
Various development projects, including the Signal-Free Corridor (SFC)-III, will be completed in August, after which citizens will get further travel convenience, City Nazim Mustafa Kamal said on Thursday while inspecting development projects.
The Nazim, during his visit, checked the pace of work at various ongoing projects, including the SFC-III, Shahrah-e-Qaddafi, the Banaras Chowk Flyover in Orangi, the new road from the Superhighway Toll Plaza to Jinnah Terminal via Malir Cantt, and 6000 and 10000 roads in New Karachi.
Earlier, Kamal was briefed regarding the progress at various projects. He was informed that the Preedy Street project had already been completed while a large part of the Jail Chowrangi Flyover project was also finished. The projects of Shahrah-e-Quaideen Flyover and underpass will be complete by mid-August and subsequently, all these projects will be opened to traffic.
During the visit to Orangi Town, the Nazim directed officials concerned to finish Shahrah-e-Qaddafi as soon as possible. He further said that work on a storm water drain be completed as well, along with the repair work of the old track.
