Terror hoax at CM’s House
KARACHI: Panic spread at the Sindh Chief Minister’s House when two phone calls were received warning of a terror attack at the building. Adviser to Chief Minister on Press and Media Waqar Mehdi confirmed the report and said that at 10:15 am, an identified man called at the Chief Minister’s House and warned about the presence of a bomb in the premises of building. The police, Rangers and the bomb disposal squad was called immediately and after a check they declared that it was a hoax call. Soon after, another call was received in which the caller warned that an explosive laden vehicle was on its way to Chief Minister’s House. The law enforcers and the BDS crew again search the premises and declared it a hoax. The adviser said that the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah was not present at the House when the calls were received as he is in Islamabad to attend the NFC award meeting. Mehdi further said that the calls were made through a mobile phone, which was switch off when attempts to call back were made.
