LAHORE: Any possible supply of drone technology to Pakistan would destabilise the balance of power in the region, a private TV channel quoted Indian Foreign Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Monday.
According to the channel, Krishna said the US ammunition supplied to Pakistan in the past had been used against India. He added that the supply of drone technology to Pakistan would be a security threat to India. “We have brought to the notice of the US, particularly with regards to Pakistan, that arms and armaments are invariably directed against India,” Krishna told reporters. He said India did not want the region to go into an “arms competition”, adding it was the “primary responsibility” of the US to ensure aid given to another country was “being used for the purpose being sanctioned”.
