RAWALPINDI: Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) on Thursday arrested Rawalpindi drag-car race killings case accused Adil Naeem from Benazir International Airport when he was fleeing abroad.
FIA handed over the accused to Rawat Police Station, where a case in this regard has been registered against him. Police said that the accused would be produced in the court soon for remand.
The Supreme Court on a suo motu action regarding the car racing accident that occurred in Rawalpindi in which five people including three children were killed in December last year, had directed Punjab police high-ups to arrest the illegal car race case accused.
During the car race in Bahria Town, one of the racers could not control his car and hit spectators, resulting in the death of five persons of three families.
