DEFENCE HOUSING AUTHORITY HAS ESTABLISHED A NEW WING ‘DHA SERVICES’

Karachi: Defence Housing Authority has established a new wing ‘DHA Services’ to provide customized domestic services to the community at their doorsteps, under a single window operation. DHA Services will provide a variety of services to the DHA/Clifton residents and the corporate sector.

The formal Inauguration Ceremony of ‘DHA Services’ was held at its newly established office located at Kh-e-Shujaat in DHA Phase-VIII. Administrator DHA, Brig Khalid Tirmizi was the chief guest of the function.

Brig Tirmizi in his inaugural address reiterated that DHA was committed to provide best civic amenities and quality living standard to its residents. He said that the aim of establishing ‘DHA Services’ was to extend the most needed domestic services to the community with a high degree of reliability, convenience and cost effectiveness.

He said that ‘DHA Services’ would provide verified and professional workers in green uniform to its clients. He hoped that the organization would soon earn the confidence and trust of residents through its committed, reliable and dynamic operations.

The Administrator said that the services to be provided by the newly established DHA Wing would save time and energy of the residents and would also ensure their safety and security.

Earlier Director “DHA Services” Maj (R) Tabish outlined different kind of services and operational modalities of each business unit of the organization. He said that DHA residents would be offered annual membership for home care services to avail the services of cleaners, gardeners, electricians, gas fitters, fumigation staff, utility bills submission and water tank cleaning services. He said that for non member, home care services would also be available
He said that ‘DHA Services’ staff would be uniquely distinguished and identified by their uniform and would thus act as a check on unscrupulous elements entering the residences in the disguise of electricians, plumbers or similar home based services provides who could pose serious security risks especially to women and children on being alone in homes.

The services being provided include home care, event management, horticultural and landscaping, complex buying, interior designing, trouble shooters (electrician, plumber & carpenter etc), property exchange, dry cleaning & washing services and janitorial service. Security Services and Car Care Services would be added in near future.
