Federal Minister for Environment Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi Tuesday visited Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi, to review the development work being under taken with the financial assistance of the Ministry of Environment here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Ministry of Environment would provide all possible technical and financial assistance for developing landscapes and enhancing the green area in the park. He directed the authorities to devote their energies for the beautification of the park.
He said that Ayub National Park comes under the jurisdiction of the provincial government and he would take up the issue of funding for developing recreational facilities with the district government of Rawalpindi and provincial government of the Punjab so that an effective strategy is evolved for maintenance and preservation of the historical aspect of the park.
