LAHORE: The Estate Management Directorate of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out a clean-up operation at Shadman Market and impounded four trucks for hampering free movement of vehicles and pedestrians in the area.
The market has already been declared a model area by the Punjab government. The LDA staff removed all the illegal encroachments. It is worth mentioning here that the authority had issued warning notices before the operation.
Meanwhile, the Town Planning Wing of LDA demolished an under-construction second storey of a house in Allama Iqbal Town, as it was being built without the approval of the authority. The staff also stopped installation of a mobile phone tower in Allama Iqbal Town.
