LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday retrieved fifteen plots from illegal occupants in Johar Town and Gulshan-e-Ravi.
According to details officials of Estate Management Directorate of the LDA conducted an operation against land grabbers. The staff visited various blocks of Johar Town and inspected ownership documents of buildings being constructed there.
On scrutiny, the documents of nine plots were found to either be fake or incomplete, upon which construction work on those plots was immediately stopped. The staff demolished boundary walls that had been constructed illegally on Plot No 45, 46, 47 and 48 in R-2 block Johar Town and retrieved the plots from illegal occupants.
Another two plots (650 and 1059) were retrieved in A Block, Gulshan-e-Ravi. Meanwhile, large tracts of land in H and P Block of Sabzazar Housing Scheme were cleared of squatters. More than 800 squatters and other illegal constructions were removed from the area. staff report
