KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued notices for January 21 to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Hyderabad, former Taluka Nazim Tando Allahyar Haji Khair Muhammad Khokhar, Aftab Ahmad Khokhar, Aijaz Khokhar, District Police Officer (DPO) Tando Allahyar and other police officials on a petition filed by Meer Muhammad Khokhar.
The single bench comprising Justice Shahid Anwar Bajwa proceeded the petition in which Meer Muhammad stated that respondents Khair Muhammad, Aftab and Aijaz had occupied over 9,000 acres of agricultural land in Tando Allahyar with the help of dozens of criminals.
Meanwhile, Arshad Khokhar son of the petitioner while talking to Daily Times after the court proceedings said their land was occupied through the criminals who had also disturbed the law and order situation in Tando Allahyar and its surrounding areas.
He said that all those criminals were being supported by former Taluka Nazim and his companions. He alleged that those criminals had also started other criminal activities in the area and were spreading panic by opening fire time and again.
