The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started an inquiry against nine private and cooperative housing schemes in Islamabad that were approved by a senior CDA official, currently suspended for alleged corruption, it was learnt.
According to sources, CDA’s Deputy Director-General (Planning) Mohammad Iqbal Noori favoured these housing schemes for the purpose of personal gains. The societies under scrutiny of NAB are:
New Islamabad Gardens
RP Corporation Housing Scheme
Margalla View
Khayaban-e-Kashmir
Cabinet Division Employees Cooperative Housing Society
Jeddah Town Housing Scheme
Soan Gardens
Gulshan-e-Rabia Housing Scheme
