ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Monday offered assistance to Tajikistan by providing easy access to its ports, especially the Gwadar Port. President Asif Ali Zardari made the offer to the visiting Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, saying that Pakistan was ready to discuss the conclusion of a Trilateral Transit Trade Agreement between Pakistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Addressing a banquet held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in the honour of President Emomali Rahmon, President Zardari said that Pakistan was keenly interested in enhancing air and road links to Tajikistan and it looks forward to developing rail link with Tajikistan in future.
