LAHORE: Former Pakistan Mulsim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Shumaila Rana has said she is being disgraced through accusations of theft worth Rs 80,000, and said those who have stolen billions of rupees should also be held accountable.
An additional district and sessions judge on Monday extended Shumaila’s interim bail until August 3, in a credit card theft case registered against her with the Ghalib Market police. The court extended Shumaila’s bail after an investigation officer (IO) told the court that he had yet to complete the investigation. He said the investigation was proceeding swiftly and would be completed soon. The court directed the IO to bring the record of the case to the next hearing.
After the hearing was postponed, Shumaila told reporters she had not committed any fraud and would be proved innocent.
