Middlesex University UK to launch Pakistan’s first foreign campus in 1100 kanal University City, Bahria Town Rawalpindi.
Middlesex University UK, Vice Chancellor Prof. M.J. Driscoll and Bahria Town (Pvt.) Ltd, Chief Executive Malik Riaz Hussain, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), between Middlesex University (MU), London, United Kingdom and Bahria Town (Pvt.) Ltd Pakistan.
The MOU, which was formally signed in Islamabad, establishes an agreement between the Middlesex University (MU) and Bahria Town (Pvt.) Ltd, on constructing world class campuses in Bahria Town, Islamabad and Lahore. Speaking on the occasion, CEO of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz Hussain said, “An effort in the education arena is long overdue and in our national interest. This is one of our biggest challenges and this initiative should empower the youth by providing them equal opportunities in the local and international arena”. Bahria Town has master planned 1100 kanal University City in the city of Rawalpindi which will house various international acclaimed names in the field of higher education. The infrastructure is complete for this unique concept while construction on different precincts will be completed once the joint ventures are secured. Middlesex University’s complex in University City is under design finalization and construction is expected to start within the next few months.
