LDA stopped from giving land to police dept

LAHORE, Aug 17: The Chief Minister’s Secretariat has returned a Lahore Development Auth-ority’s summary seeking approval for allotment of land for buildings of nine police stations in the city, it is learnt. The secretariat returned the summary to the LDA after the chief minister wrote “no further action” on it, officials told Dawn on Wednesday.

Auction date for hotel, super store plots reset

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has rescheduled the open auction of plots earmarked for a five-star hotel and a super store in the Finance and Trade Centre in Johar Town for September 10, 2011. The plots measuring 114 kanals and 96 kanals respectively were previously to be auctioned off on August 23, 2011.
