Bus company comes under clean-up drive

LAHORE – An anti-encroachment team of Lahore Development Authority has demolished walls of an unlawfully constructed workshop of a private inter city bus service providing company, situated on the Ferozpur Road.

However, the administration and employees of the company staged a protest demonstration against the demolition of the workshop and chanted slogans against the government, CDG authorities and LDA.

According to sources in LDA, the workshop was constructed in a residential area in violation of CDG/LDA bylaws and without getting approval of the authorities concerned. They said that LDA had served notices to the company administration warning them to shift their workshop from the residential area but the company ignored them.
