LAHORE, Aug 18: The Punjab government has decided to build an underpass at Model Town Mor instead of Kalma Chowk, officials told Dawn on Thursday. It has also been decided to construct another flyover at Muslim Town Mor (Ferozepur Road), keeping in view the frequent traffic jams occurring there.
LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to stop the development of an underpass at Kalma Chowk, days after Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced the project at the inauguration of the Kalma Chowk flyover on August 14. The government gave no official explanation for the suspension of the project.
LAHORE, Aug 17: The Chief Minister’s Secretariat has returned a Lahore Development Auth-ority’s summary seeking approval for allotment of land for buildings of nine police stations in the city, it is learnt. The secretariat returned the summary to the LDA after the chief minister wrote “no further action” on it, officials told Dawn on Wednesday.
