Lahore—To facilitate the potential buyers, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has rescheduled the open auction of plots earmarked for five star hotel and a super store, in the Finance and Trade Center, M.A Johar Town Lahore, for 10 September 2011. These plots measure 114 Kanals and 96 Kanals respectively and their auction had earlier been planned for 23 August 2011.
Lahore Development Authority has named the purposed housing scheme at Ferozepur Road, measuring 45000 Kanals, as LDA City. The other new scheme of 10 thousand kanals at Raiwind Road will be called LDA Avenue-II.
Land for these schemes will be acquired on the pattern of DHA. In order to avoid litigation, Land owners will be granted exemption of land in the shape of 25 per cent developed plots through negotiations. However, the land owners will have to pay the development charges against the exempted plots.
These decisions were taken in the Governing Body of the Lahore Development Authority, here, Monday. District Co-ordination Officer and Chairman LDA Ahad Khan Cheema, chaired the meeting which was attended by Vice Chairman LDA Aamir Asgher Dar, Vice Chairman WASA haji Muhammad Sharif, Director General of Lahore Development Authority Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, Managing Director WASA Dr. Javed Iqbal, Additional Director General LDA Irfan Bhatti, Chief Metropolitan Planner Waseem Ahmad Khan, Chief Town Planner Ch. Muhammad Akram and representatives of the provincial local government, housing, P&D and finance departments besides administrators of the nine constituent towns of the City District, Lahore.
In compliance of the orders passed by Lahore High Court, Lahore Development Authority decided to allot a 10 marla plot to Mr. S.M Saleem in Sabzazar Housing Scheme in lieu of his land measuring 19 marlas that had been acquired by LDA for Allama Iqbal Town. The authority also decided to collect market price of 1990 plus 20 percent encroachment charges from the residents of plot No 469 block C of Faisal Town.
