ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to take over the land of New Islamabad Garden, a housing scheme that failed to fulfil legal formalities and develop its land following directives of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The CDA will take over the land of Islamabad Garden in the next few days, said a senior official of CDA.
The CDA has also issued final notices to other housing schemes for not following the legal criteria, said the official. He said earlier the CDA had taken over the land of Jeddah Town as it also had failed to develop land and fulfil legal formalities. The NAB had directed CDA to erect a fence around 800 kanals of land of the housing scheme, he said.
He said after taking over Islamabad Garden the CDA was likely to take over the land of RP Corporation housing scheme.
The CDA had asked all housing schemes, which have failed to fulfil legal criteria to demarcate their land and provide the number of its allottees, he said. The official said so far around 20 hosing schemes had not yet properly started development work and the authority would take action against them.
The CDA has so issued no objection certificate (NOC) to 12 housing societies in Zone-II and Zone of V, he added. He said 44 housing societies had applied for the NOC, 30 in Zone-V and 14 in Zone-11. fazal sher
