ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has got vacated the land meant for Service Road South of the Sector D-12, which was in adverse possession, says a press release.
Director General Planning Ghulam Sarwar Sindhu led the force to got vacated the land from adverse possession and pave the way for construction of Service Road South, Sector D-12 as the Engineering Wing of the authority started the development work immediately.
Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat Elahi visited the site and directed for expediting the development activities in the Sector D-12, especially laying the gas pipeline and electricity system. He directed that the development activities be completed on war-footing basis to facilitate the allottees.
Meanwhile, the CDA chairman has approved the work plan for improvement and up-gradation of the environment of the federal capital to be carried out at a cost of Rs800 million. The plan consisting of around 200 small projects including both hard and soft landscaping of Class-III shopping centres, improvement of side slopes of main avenues, interchanges, improvement of lawns and medium strips, cleansing of nullahs, improvement at zoo, construction of sit out areas, development of parks and establishment of nurseries at different places. As per work plan Rs434 million would be spent on the ongoing projects whereas Rs366 million would be spent on the new schemes.
