Karachi: DHA Karachi today launched a new residential-cum-commercial venture on Superhighway under the brand name of ‘DHA City Karachi’. The landmark project is being developed in accordance with contemporary town and master planning concepts into a complete city in itself with world class amenities.
Administrator DHA Brig Khalid Tirmizi said on the eve of the media launch of the project that the new residential estate coming up on Super Highway is spread over an area of approx 12000 acres of land and is at a twenty minutes drive from Karachi International Airport. He said that DHA has put together a team of engineers and managers to ensure quality work and to follow all the applicable codes and standards for developing an estate where all citizens can live in harmony and peace.
He said that DHA City has a 4 km frontage on Super Highway and is located in proximity of upcoming educational city and PIA Cabin Crew Society’s land. He added that the new residential estate would have a network of wide roads and adequate green/open areas as per the modern town planning trends and is being developed in the backdrop of a semi hilly terrain and picturesque landscape.
Brig Tirmizi said that it was first time in the history of Defence Housing Authority that all citizens of Pakistan including overseas Pakistanis have been asked to apply for a DHA land. Applications Forms for the scheme can be obtained from all branches of designated commercial banks free of cost and can also be downloaded from website www.dhakarachi.org. A Call Centre with a Universal Number 111-589-589 has been established at DHA’s Main Office which is functioning round the clock to provide all necessary/relevant information about the scheme to the public.
Administrator said that DHA City has lot of potential and offers an excellent opportunity to national and international developers and investors to do profitable ventures. He added that the project was unique of its kind and presents securest investment opportunity with bright prospects for the future.
Director DHA City said that the land on Super Highway has a most stable layout for construction with a firm soil having adequate strength to bear the load of high-rise buildings. He also disclosed that a 72 inches water pipeline and the main gas supply line were passing close to DHA City.
He said that DHA would adopt sector wise approach in its development strategy so as to acquire credibility, professional efficacy and trust of people. He said that the first phase of DHA City would accommodate people from all segments of society.
