Final touches are being given to the launching of computerised birth and death certificate issuance system in every union council of the Islamabad district.
The system will be launched within 15 days, Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed said. According to him, people of rural areas will have the international standard service and these documents will have special security features.
He was reviewing the progress on the introduction of computerised birth and death certificates in a meeting here on Monday. Participants of the meeting were informed that computers had been provided in every union council and necessary directions were issued to secretaries of union councils. The deputy commissioner directed assistant commissioners to finalise all arrangements by the end of the month.
