LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) closed in the red zone on Wednesday. The LSE 25-share index finished at 2,449.56 points, losing 3.51 points as against the previous day’s close of 2,453.07 points. The volume of market remained at 16.11 million shares, which was 7.63 million shares more than Tuesday’s turnover of 16.87 million shares. BOC Pak Ltd was the major gainer as it added Rs 4.76 to close at Rs 134.74 from its opening at Rs 129.98. MCB Bank Ltd ended at second place gaining Rs 4.46 to close at 176.22 after opening at Rs 171.76. Treet Corp Ltd was among the major losers as it lost Rs 26.33 to close at 505.00 as compared to its opening at Rs 531.33. PSO also fell Rs 5.19, as it was opened at Rs 261.41 and closed at Rs 256.22. DGK Cement was among the volume leaders with 2.57 million shares. It declined Rs 2.06 to close at Rs 39.16 as compared with its opening at Rs 41.22. Arif Habib Sec Ltd with 2.33 million shares was at second place. It decreased by 55 paisas to close at Rs 32.96 as against its opening at Rs 33.51.
