ISLAMABAD, Sep 9 (APP): Interior Minister Senator A. Rehman Malik on Friday directed Capital Development Authority (CDA) to construct a boundry wall outside the Parliament Lodges. He said this while chairing a high level meeting in which security situation of the Lodges was discussed.
Parliamentary Secretary for Interior Rai Mujtaba Kharal, MNA Begum Naseem Ch., Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Inspector General Police, Director General National Crisis Management Cell and Chairman CDA were also present on the occassion.
He said that it has been decided that the security of the Parliament Lodges would be enhanced and it would be the same as that of the Prime Minister Secretariat.
“A NADRA terminal would be established in the Lodges and NDARA would issue visitor cards to the visitors after checking their CNICs,” he said.
He said that latest version of CCTV cameras would be set up to monitor security situation of the lodges.
He said it has been decided to appoint 300 ex-servicemen in Islamabad Police.
Interior Minister directed that security of the Parliament Lodges be made fool- proof and in this regard no neglience would be tolerated.
