ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has warned the public against investing in 18 housing schemes, which have been declared fake by the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).
The Awareness and Prevention (A&P) Division of the NAB has issued the warning in wake of the unprecedented boom in the real estate business and the subsequent mushrooming of housing schemes in Gwadar city.
The NAB has advised people not to risk their hard-earned money and refrain from investing in illegal housing schemes launched by fraudsters.
The housing schemes declared by the GDA illegal are:
Shanghai Industrial Estate,
Silver Rock,
Khaleej City,
Mega City,
Royal Park Tower,
Alpine Gwadar,
Marina View,
Soldier City,
Gwadar Port Yard,
Golden Valley,
Qartaba Creek Valley,
Green Land Scheme,
Gawadar Trade Centre Asia Acre,
Qartaba Creek Acre,
Alpine Village,
Green Land Scheme,
International Port City, and
West Avenue.
The GDA has recently announced that these housing schemes have not been issued “No Objection Certificates (NOCs)” and they are operating illegally.
It is pertinent to mention that the management of these schemes have launched publicity campaigns in media to grab public’s attention.
The NAB has asked the public to confirm NOCs, carefully examine the file of a plot, exact plot number, street number, sector, phase number, development charges and a proper development schedule of the housing scheme prior to making any purchase.
