ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has issued notice to the NADRA chairman for issuing Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) to 20,000 Bahria Town employees on the insistence of Malik Riaz to influence the election process in NA-52.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by the CJP, will hear this suo motu case today (Friday). It is relevant to mention that opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has claimed that Malik Riaz was orchestrating a campaign against him in Rawalpindi.
Former deputy speaker Haji Nawaz Khokhar has also announced to contest the election from in NA-52. As the stage is set for the elections, Khokhar is becoming more and more visible in Nisar’s constituency (NA-52).
