ISLAMABAD – Spokesman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has denied that any meeting between the party’s chief, Nawaz Sharif, and Bahria Town chairman Malik Riaz took place in Murree, casting doubts on the veracity of a news item published in The Nation.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, PML-N Central Information Secretary Mushahidullah Khan claimed that the news story published in the paper was not based on the facts and that no such meeting had taken place.
Nevertheless, The Nation stands by its story as the meeting between Nawaz and Riaz was confirmed by more than one source.
