ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) is working on 58 schemes of 4259 Kilometres (km) long at cost of Rs 230 billion, while 47 projects have been planned with total length of 4315 km, which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 462 billion. National Highways Authority’s revenue amounts stand at Rs 12 billion per year while Rs 15 billion are required for maintenance of highways per annum. This was briefed to the participant of 10th Senior National Management Course led by Brig (r) Khan Ahmad, Faculty Member on Tuesday. A detailed briefing was given to them regarding objectives, working and financial and administrative affairs of the authority. NHA Member Planning Sabir Hassan welcomed the visiting guests. Sabir Hassan said that planning, construction, operation and maintenance of National Highway, Motorways, expressways and bridges all over the country stand among the priorities of the authority.
