The CDA has decided to cancel the allotment of all residential plots being used for commercial purposes in Islamabad within a few days.

Sources said that special directives have been issued to the deputy commissioner in this context. A large number of schools, showrooms, property centres and shops are running on residential plots in the federal capital and notices had been issued to owners of more than 800 residential plots to halt commercial activities on their land within 15 days or the allotment of their plots would be cancelled. The 15 days deadline would end within a few days. The list of the people using residential plots for commercial purposes has been prepared by the deputy commissioner.
