LAHORE – The Punjab chief minister should bring new initiatives for the people of Jhelum instead of giving schemes completed in Pervez Musharraf’s government his name, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chief Coordinator Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain said on Tuesday.
Hussain was criticizing Shahbaz’s visit to inaugurate the Ashiana Housing Scheme in Jhelum. He said that the scheme had already been completed under the name of “Jhelum Housing Scheme” by the government of General (r) Musharraf through the efforts of District Nazim Jhelum Farrukh Altaf and Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain.
He suggested that the present Punjab government bring up new developmental projects such as the Gattalian Bridge which was needed by the residents of Jhelum.
