ISLAMABAD: According to sources CDA owes Rs 35 billion to affecttees against buildup property and in compensation of land. In such circumstances it has become impossible for CDA to pay the affecttees and it has been decided to de-acquire the land. Primarily land of sector H-18 and I-17 will be de-acquired however an influential personality of the city has already received Rs 800 million by giving 1,000 kanal of land to the CDA in both sectors. In case of de-acquiring, it will become a problem for the CDA to get back that amount.
