DHA Lahore: four new sectors uplift starts

Secretary Technical & Chief Engineer DHA Lahore Col Saqib inaugurated the development work in four new sectors of DHA on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the phase VII comprised 11 sectors and the development work in five sectors had started.

Giving details of the development work, he said that the development work in the P sector would be completed by 2008, adding that the development work in Q, R, S and T sectors would be completed by May 2009. He said that all civic facilities would be provided in U, V, W and X sectors of the society till November 2009 while a club as well as a community centre would be constructed in U sector. The development work in Y and Z sectors would be started soon, he added.

He said that a Chinese construction company would complete underground sewerage pipeline, roads, water supply, electricity, gas, telephone and drainage projects.

Meanwhile, the development work was going on in full swing in sectors A, B, D, K and L of Phase 5 (extension). He said that FWO was working diligently to complete the projects. He also hoped that the phase 6 would be completed in time. He said Malaysian workers were working on the Golf course and construction of houses adjacent to the course was in progress. He further said that the expressway connecting the airport and phase 6 would be opened for the general traffic in March 2008.A large number of Chinese engineers and technical assistants were also present on the occasion.
