ISLAMABAD: Civic authorities have been directed to get concrete steps within 15 days to eradicate encroachments, removal of construction material, maintenance of cleanliness and elimination of illegal construction in the residential and commercial areas of capital.
Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi said this during a surprise visit of Markaz G-9 (Karachi Company) on Monday.
Elahi expressed concern over the mushroom growth of encroachments. He ordered the authorities concern to remove them immediately and proper cleanliness in the market be maintained so that the visitors of the market should have the shopping without any hassle. The chairman said increasing encroachment, illegal construction and dumping of building material was damaging beauty of city and must be removed at the earliest.
He gave 15 days notice to all the officers concerned to take concrete measures to keep the city in tidy condition or face disciplinary action. Elahi said all officers and officials of the Authority should accomplish their assigned tasks to the best of their potential for keeping the city clean and earning a good name for the organization.
