Islamabad: Minister for Housing and Works Faisal Saleh Hayat has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing projects of the Pakistan Housing Foundation (PHF) and stressed the need to make it a more vibrant and effective body.

He appreciated the efforts of Managing Director of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) Rasool Bux Phulpoto for transformation of the authority into a public sector company.

Chairing a meeting of PHF Board of Directors on Wednesday, he said the country is facing housing crisis due to rapid population growth and shortage of residential units.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Ministry of Housing and Works Kamran Lashari, PHF MD Rasool Bux Phulpoto and other members of the board.

Commenting on the quality of construction, Faisal Saleh Hayat said PHF housing projects are designed and implemented through renowned engineering consultants and construction companies of Pakistan.

The meeting was informed that the authority has successfully completed its projects in all the provincial capitals and Islamabad, while its various schemes are in progress.

The minister asked the authorities concerned to complete all the projects without any delay to cater the housing needs of the people.
