LAHORE – Staff of the Town Planning Wing, Estate Management and Enforcement directorates of Lahore Development Authority demolished a number of illegal constructions besides sealing several properties during jointly carried out operations on Friday.
Under the supervision of Director Town Planning–II Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi, the LDA staff demolished the Prattha Market in Liberty Market area in Gulberg which had been illegally established on the plot allocated for mosque. The shops had been built in violation of building by-laws because commercial activity is not permissible on land reserved for public buildings like mosque and schools.
