PUNJAB Chief Secretary Javed Mahmood, Additional Chief Secretary Javed Aslam and provincial secretaries held open courts outside their offices at the Civil Secretariat on Friday and issued orders for addressing the grievances of complainants.
The chief secretary received more than 100 complaints against police, revenue departments and land grabbers.
He issued directed the authorities concerned to remove the complainants’ grievances and report him back within three days.
The additional chief secretary also received complaints against revenue and anti-corruption departments and about the service matters of the government employees. He ordered the officers concerned to resolve the grievances of the complainants.
Similarly, Additional Home Secretary Farhan Aziz Paracha received complaints mostly against prisons and police.
Secretary Regulation Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas received applications regarding the service matters and gave directions for their redress.
Secretary Health Anwaar Ahmad Khan received complaints about the poor medical facilities in different government hospitals and against medical officers and paramedics.
He directed the heads of the medical institutions concerned to report to him after addressing the complainants’ problems.
Similarly, workers of various factories submitted their complaints with Labour, Manpower and Human Resource Secretary Abdul Rauf Khan against poor working conditions in different factories as well as non-availability of basic facilities.
He also directed the authorities concerned to take action against the factories’ administration for violating the basic human rights of their workers.
