Lahore—The Lahore Development Authority will develop seven sports grounds in the city to encourage the games and healthy activities among the youngsters.
The LDA invited sealed tenders from the approved list of firms and contractors for provision and improvement of sports facilities at selective places in the provincial metropolis.
The project of development of park in Sector I-C-II Township Behind Police Station, Green Town, will be executed at a cost of Rs 5.6 million. Construction of Sport Hall near Ittefaq Hospital, will cost Rs 2.8 million and setting up of a badminton court at Farrakhabad, Shahdara, will be carried out at a cost of Rs 240,000.
The LDA will also construct a Cricket pavilion at ideal Park (near Rescue-1122 bay) at Quaid-e- Azam Town with an amount of Rs 4.9 million. Construction of boundary wall with MS Jungla around park near Allah Hoo Chowk MA Johar Town, will be accomplished at a cost of Rs 3.5 million. Construction of Cricket Pavilion and boundary wall in Park beside of Mian Plaza, MA Johar Town, will be prepared at a cost of Rs 9.4 million and construction of Sports facilities in the Park infront of Mian Plaza, M.A. Johar Town will cost Rs 8.3 million.
