YOUNG doctors of the NWFP have paid tributes to Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for taking steps to give regular service structure and substantial pay raise to the young doctors of Punjab.

They desired to have a chief minister like Mian Shahbaz Sharif in their province as, according to them, the NWFP government had issued arrest warrants for young doctors instead of holding dialogue to fulfil their demands in the backdrop of young doctors’ token strike of two hours in OPDs daily has entered second month.

According to a press release here on Sunday, Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab General Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi stated that young doctors of the NWFP were all praise for Mian Shahbaz Sharif during a meeting of the YDA Punjab, Provincial Doctors Association, NWFP, YDA NWFP and YDA Islamabad held in Islamabad the other day. Dr Salman Kazmi said the NWFP young doctors praised the Punjab chief minister for his interest in health sector and medical profession.
