Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has issued the orders of relocating the Ravi Toll Plaza farther out of the city bounds.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) chairman Syed Asif Hashmi, while talking to the media at his residence, said he had sent the recommendation to the prime minister who termed it a very important issue and directed immediate action to relocate the Toll Plaza.

He said that it was a long standing demand of the people of Shahdara, which falls in the NA-118 constituency, that the toll plaza was causing problems for them. He said that President Asif Zardari had already exempted the residents of Shahdara town of the toll tax.
