RAWALPINDI: Over 20 illegal commercial buildings have been demolished in Rawal Town, while teams have been formed to demolish remaining illegal constructions, Town Officer (Regulation) Aftab Chauhan told this news agency. The Superintendent Planning and Coordination said the Town Municipal Administration (TMA) had served notices on owners of over 200 illegal commercial and residential buildings. He said they had assigned the inspectors the task to conduct a survey of illegal constructions. The public and social circles of the city while expressing concern over the situation said the illegal constructions incurred million of rupees loss to TMA and created traffic problems for the residents. They alleged that the illegal constructions were continuing in several areas of the city including Raja Bazaar, Satellite Town and Murree Road. online
