he Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) would auction two plots to generate over Rs50 million that would be spent on the development works.
The decision was made in a meeting chaired by RDA Director General Makeen Shahbaz here on Saturday.
The meeting was told that two plots, one at Saidpur Road measuring one kanal and other in Sherpao Colony measuring one kanal three marlas would be auctioned on May 27.
The generated amount would be spent on a three-storey parking plaza in Raja Bazaar. The total cost of the parking plaza is estimated at Rs80 million.
The consultant of Nespak would submit its designing and study report to the RDA for approval.
The meeting was told that the Punjab government has approved launching of grand operation against the encroachers of RDA land/plots and property by the ‘qabza’ groups.
The police would accompany the RDA enforcement staff to issue notices to the ‘qabza’
groups. The meeting was told that the Punjab government has directed the RDA to establish parks and horticulture centre in Rawalpindi.
