District Nazim Mian Aamer Mehmood has said that the development works of Phase I Block-H of Sabzazar Colony and provision of basic infrastructure will soon be started with the huge amount of Rs 70 million. He was talking to the nazims and councillors of various union councils in a meeting held at Distric Nazim House Upper Mall on Sunday.

The meeting was told all development works in phase I of the colony have been completed some years ago while Block-H-I was reserved for the construction of offices and flats but due to some reason the development works could not be completed.

Later, Lahore Development Authority allotted plots to people for residential purposes in this block.

Mian Aamer said the governing body of LDA had decided to spend Rs 70 million for the construction of roads, supply of potable water, laying sewage pipelines and providing facilities of electricity and gas and in this regard a comprehensive project had been prepared which would be launched soon. He said that LDA provided gas to 16 housing schemes with Rs 160 million.
