ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Senate Functional Committee on Government Assurance here on Monday urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to complete development work of I-16 sector as soon as possible and facilitate the allottees. The Committee also said CDA should adopt legal procedure against those private Housing Societies who are using the name of CDA in their advertisement to attract the customer on the name of its and increase their sale of plots. The Committee meeting was presided over Chairperson Senator Kalsoom Parveen, among others Senator Almas Parveen, Senator Suriya Amiruddin, Senate Sabina Rauf and others high officials of CDA were also present on the occasion.

The agenda before the committee was assurance given by Senator Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari,Leader of the House, regarding completion of Shah Allah Dittta water reservoir project Islamabad by CDA on point of order raised by Senator Mrs.Rehana Yahya Baloch on 20 June 2011.

CDA Chairman Imtiz Inayat Elahi inform the Committee that they always adopt the legal process for the interest of public and never allow any one to use CDA name for the business.

He said CDA has launched the Park Enclave scheme and all plots are sale out and CDA earn Rs. 7 billion.

During the briefing about the Shah Allah Ditta Reservoir CDA authorities informed the Committee that the work will be completed by the end of this year 2011 if all problems are timely resolved.

Chairman CDA said that the water supply work of I-16 have been taken up and 85 percent work completed.
